Spammers are headache and this is not the first time we have faced such automated registration and postings.
They need to be dealt according to their behavior. They like resistance. They also like to play "cat and mouse" games.
I take pride on team - moderators to deal with these issues.
From now on I think no newbies should ever be allowed to post new topic or poll, i.e., at least a member must be an X.Jr member to post a new topic!
It is easier for us to deal with the spammers who post new topics. It is difficult to track the replies.
We need to do something soon! Don't avoid this moderators and creators of the forum! This forum will loose its reputation and quality if we keep on allowing things as normal!
It has been going on since 2006, mass attacks every couple of months, and we have always dealt with them properly and we will in future too.
We have proper security and anti spam measures in place. But, some spammers get smarter and break them. But we do patch them in time so that their efforts go useless.
Suggestions like these guide us in making us more capable and motivated.
